deCycles Southwest 2008
June 20 - July 13
Starting in Phoenix and ending in Denver, the deCycles will pedal through ten state and national parks. Hiking is planned for the Grand Canyon, Zion, Bryce, Capitol Reef, and Arches national parks. The deCycles will climb the Continental Divide in Colorado at 11,300-ft elevation. We'll visit Moab, Utah......where mountain biking originated. Other highlights along the way include Prescott, Sedona, Lake Powell, and crossing the Glen Canyon Dam and Royal Gorge Bridge, the highest suspension bridge in the world. A half-day whitewater rafting trip is being pursued in Utah. This trip is designed for students aged 13-24 ranging from beginner to experienced racer. Students will be given priority over adult applicants.

Getting to Phoenix
Group Airfare: $200 per student or adult rider for IND-PNX group flight on June 20. Full payment due on or before April 18, 2008. Return trip from Colorado to Bloomington will be ground transportation included in trip fee.
Ground Transportation: $75 per student or adult rider. Departure will be June 18. Full payment due on or before April 18, 2008. Return trip from Colorado will be ground transportation included in trip fee.

Includes
Overnight accommodations, most meals, food breaks, luggage transport, laundry, sag support, deCycles riding jersey, minor repairs

Road bike, riding attire, health/accident insurance, any medical expenses, sightseeing/personal expenses
Registration
The trip is now full. Registration is closed.
Adult riders
Add $150 to student entry fee. Priority will be given to student applicants.
Training
Organized weekend training rides begin early April. Little 500 riders and BHSS solar bike team are exempt from early training rides.
Special notes
Considerably less daily mileage than in 2007. Desert riding will be in mornings or early evenings. Several spectacular descents.
