deCycles Pacific Mountains 2010
Journal Entry
Date: June 23
Day 11: Wednesday
Departure: Susanville, CA
Arrival: Reno, NV

Distance: 85 miles
Highlights: Spend evening in Reno, NV.
Description: This was the warmest day yet. Low 90s. Sun was hot and sunscreen was applied liberally. Today was the first day that all riders started the ride without any jackets or cold weatherwear. Top speed for the day was 53-mph by Nick Perhala. It was on the downhill to Reno. What a difference a day makes. Yesterday we were surrounded by trees. Today there were none to be found along the entire route.

Our overnight stay was in an old church downtown in the middle of Reno. Lots of weird people walking around. Security was important. We did laundry and went for a food shopping spree at SAMS Club. We were cramped a bit in the church but we made do. The group went out to eat for supper and breakfast since we were so close to eating establishments and it made our logistics go much easier.
Climate: Sunny, warm, no clouds. Beautiful day. High 90s.
Overnight: Reno Methodist Church
