deCycles Pacific Mountains 2010
Journal Entry
Date: June 12
Day: Saturday
Departure: Seattle, WA
Arrival: Seattle, WA

Distance: 14 miles
Description: Easy tour of Seattle to shake down bikes and focus the minds. It was a beautiful day. Locals said it was the best in 8-months. We pedaled bike paths and downtown city streets to Gasworks Park and the Space Needle and finally climbing the very steep Queen Anne’s Blvd to get a high overlook of Seattle with Mt. Rainier in the background. The day was not without drama. We played deCycles bike tag and several groups forgot to wait for the next group at the turns. This caused havoc and several groups off course. This delayed the day about 2-hours. We also had about 7-8 flats. All riders had free time in the evening to browse the park areas and eat downtown. Some final meetings rounded out the day. We were in bed by 11pm. It was a good beginning for a wonderful trip.
Climate: Sunny, mid-70s, world class gorgeous day
Overnight: Denny Park Lutheran Church
